Touring Ski Bindings
Pin, hybrid and frame ski touring bindings, from minimalist models for fast ascents to freetouring bindings with brakes, plus replacement brakes and ski crampons. All at outlet prices, ready for your next tour.
Which type of ski touring bindings suits you
| System | Boot required | Weight | Who it’s for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pin | With inserts | The lightest | Fast and all-round touring; uphill priority |
| Hybrid (pin toe and alpine heel) | With inserts | Mid-weight | Freetouring with wide skis; downhill priority |
| Frame | Without inserts, even alpine ski boots | The heaviest | Occasional tours in alpine boots |
Among pin bindings there are minimalist models without brakes, designed for fast ascents, and more complete ones with brakes and release adjustment.
Before ordering
Check that the brake is the same width as the ski’s waist or slightly wider; if the binding doesn’t have one, replacement brakes are available for some models, or you can use leashes. The maximum release value must cover the setting that matches your weight and ability, and the lightest bindings have more limited ranges. If you’ll be climbing on hard snow, add ski crampons compatible with your binding’s brand and width.
