The Marker Kingpin 10 (ref. 7733W1MB in Black / Red finish) is the equivalent of a lightweight rear-wheel-drive sports car built for deep virgin snow: a hybrid freetouring binding that offers a smooth transition between ascent and descent for medium-weight or intermediate-advanced skiers. Configured with the wide 100-125 mm brake (specific to the MB version, ideal for wide freeride and powder skis), it features the carbon ISI Toe tech toe piece, alpine Kingpin Heel heel unit with direct pressure on the boot sole, ergonomic climbing aids (0°, 7° and 13°), and a DIN range of 4 to 10 with TÜV safety certification.

Touring Ski Bindings

In high-performance automotive engineering, lightening the steering axle without compromising the torsional rigidity of the rear drivetrain ensures composed, predictable cornering without loss of traction. The Marker Kingpin 10 brings this balance to ski touring and freetouring on wide skis. During skinning approaches, the ISI Toe tech toe piece with carbon-fiber reinforcement reduces moving mass at the tip and makes boot entry easier thanks to its rubberized stop, which aligns the inserts first time and reduces engagement effort for ergonomic movement without mechanical friction.

When locking the assembly for downhill skiing via its mechanical lever, the binding activates the performance of its Kingpin Heel alpine heel unit: unlike ultralight touring bindings with forks or pins, its wide jaws firmly press the boot’s heel lug against the ski. This design eliminates lateral play and transfers every input instantly to the edges of wide skis. It features active flex compensation to maintain consistent release under heavy compression, integrated titanium climbing aids at 0°, 7° and 13° that can be easily operated with a pole, a pre-mounted 100-125 mm wide brake, and official TÜV DIN ISO 13992:2014 certification for touring bindings.
