In competitive automotive engineering, where vehicles must run at the limit over uneven asphalt while keeping their line intact, reinforcing the monocoque with undeformable metal plates makes it possible to absorb lateral loads without parasitic flex. The Völkl Aura in 163 cm (114374) brings this structural solidity to the mountains. Its architecture incorporates Powered by Titanium technology: two full layers of titanal wrap the core along the entire ski, providing absolute damping against terrain irregularities and fierce torsional stiffness that locks the edges into icy slopes without hesitation.

Its structural base houses the Multi Layer Woodcore: a longitudinal combination of dense beech wood beneath the binding area —ensuring an indestructible attachment against screw pull-out— with selected poplar wood in the tips to deliver a dynamic feel. Its 132-100-118 mm dimensions, 19.3 m radius, and Full Sidewall vertical straight edges provide instant transmission of muscular power to the steel. Meanwhile, the continuous Full Rocker profile smooths out the ride, making it easier to perform skidded turns to control acceleration in narrow chutes and allowing the ski to float immediately in powder without requiring the skier to shift their weight backward. Supplied without bindings (flat skis), it allows alpine or freetouring bindings with 100 mm to 105 mm brakes to be mounted.
