Women's Skis Völkl Blaze 106 W (Without Bindings) - 121428
The women’s freeride and freetouring skis Völkl Blaze 106 W (ref. 121428, length 165 cm) are sold as individual skis without bindings included (flat format for custom drilling and mounting in a workshop). They are the equivalent of an off-road racing sports two-seater built on a composite-material monocoque chassis and gas shock absorbers with hydraulic bump stops: incredibly lightweight for climbing with climbing skins without depleting energy reserves (just 1,590 grams per ski), responsive during edge-to-edge transitions thanks to their central radius of only 14 metres, and with impeccable float in bottomless powder snow. They feature a 106 mm waist, 146-106-128 mm dimensions, 3D Radius Sidecut geometry, Titanal Binding Platform reinforcement plate, Suspension Tips & Tails damping inserts, Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore hybrid core, Full Sidewall continuous sidewalls and a Tip & Tail Rocker profile.

Freeride / Freestyle Skis
In high-performance motorsport, where the power-to-weight ratio determines dynamic efficiency, lightening the body assembly while reinforcing only the suspension mounting points makes it possible to have a very agile vehicle that does not flex under critical loads. The Völkl Blaze 106 W in 165 cm (121428) brings this philosophy to modern backcountry skiing. Its architecture uses the Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore, combining selected lightweight woods such as paulownia with dense beech and poplar woods, keeping the weight to just 1590 g per ski for long touring ascents while maintaining a solid and consistent response on the descent.
Under the binding mounting area, it features the Titanal Binding Platform: a 0.3 mm titanal sheet that distributes lateral pressure directly to the vertical Full Sidewall edges and eliminates any risk of screw pull-out during hard impacts. To eliminate vibrations in crusty or wind-affected snow, the tips and tails incorporate Suspension Tips & Tails, perimeter inserts made of elastic thermoplastic material that absorb direct impacts before they reach the skier's legs. Its 3D Radius Sidecut geometry in 165 cm offers outstanding versatility: a tight 14 m center radius allows the ski to flex and pivot through narrow trees or couloirs with remarkable ease, while the long radii in the tip (30 m) and tail (22 m) provide confidence on wide slopes at high speed. Supplied without bindings (flat skis), it allows the installation of tech/pin touring bindings (such as ATK FR14 with a 110 mm brake) or alpine freeride bindings.
