Junior / Kids Skis
In the racing world, a motorsport aesthetic fascinates kids, but learning to drive requires a smooth, predictable machine that doesn't demand brute force. The Blizzard Firebird JR Boy R applies this golden rule. While it sports the aggressive livery of Blizzard's race department, its internal "chassis" is designed purely for learning. It uses a lightweight composite core that flexes effortlessly under a child's weight, avoiding the harsh rebound of adult skis. Additionally, a subtle rocker in the tip acts like power steering, helping to initiate turns naturally and preventing edge catches that cause falls.
The "transmission" for this setup is the FDT JR 4.5 binding. Mounted on a practical track system, it allows for quick, tool-less boot size adjustments, adapting to your child's growing feet season after season without needing to redrill the board. Its soft spring (DIN range 0.75 to 4.5) ensures precise, safe release during low-speed tumbles, protecting joints in the crucial early learning stages.
