The Völkl Flair 79 set (ref. 119291) with integrated Marker iPT 11.0 bindings (ref. 6634K1SE) is the equivalent of a sports sedan with adaptive suspension: a versatile piste ski designed to provide stability, firm grip on hard snow, and smoothness when cutting through heavy or transformed snow. With its lightweight wood core featuring air channels, Dual Woodcore XL, Powered by Steel reinforcement, Center Sidewall edges, and Tip & Tail Rocker profile, it is the ideal choice for intermediate to advanced female skiers seeking performance without physical fatigue.

Beginning

In the engineering of high-performance sports cars, combining a rigid chassis with elastic shock-absorbing elements makes it possible to cover miles at a brisk pace with complete ride comfort. The Völkl Flair 79 brings this technology to versatile on-piste skiing (all-conditions on-piste). Its “chassis” uses the Dual Woodcore XL core, a combination of two longitudinal hardwood stringers separated by air channels that reduce weight without sacrificing responsiveness. Added over this core is the Powered by Steel reinforcement layer, a thin spring-steel sheet that provides torsional stiffness, neutralizes vibrations and ensures consistent edge grip on hard snow.

Its turning performance stands out thanks to the Center Sidewall construction, which concentrates a straight sidewall edge under the boot to maximize power transmission, combined with 3D.Ridge technology that thins the profile at the ends to minimize turning inertia. Its Tip & Tail Rocker profile makes it possible to alternate short turns with wide, carved turns with minimal effort. Power transmission is handled by the integrated Marker iPT 11.0 system (ref. 6634K1SE): a mounting platform integrated into the ski itself that does not restrict the ski’s natural flex, with a compact heel piece, precise-release toe piece and a DIN adjustment range from 3 to 11.
