Ski touring boots
Designed to combine the precision of a race alpine boot with the essential lightness required for big-mountain ski touring, the Tecnica Cochise Light Pro are the ultimate answer for demanding routes, steep skiing and backcountry expeditions.
Grilamid Shell and Reduced Weight
The secret to their lightness and torsional rigidity lies in the use of Grilamid in the lower shell and cuff. This high-quality technical thermoplastic polymer drastically reduces the total weight per pair compared to conventional polyurethane, while maintaining consistent elastic response and reactive flex support without deforming in extreme low temperatures.
Ultralight Palau Liner and Precise 99 mm Last
They feature a specific inner liner manufactured by the prestigious Palau brand, 100% heat-moldable. This ultralight liner optimizes ankle articulation while skinning, offers excellent breathability and conforms precisely to the anatomy of the foot. Its medium-low volume last (99 mm in the reference size 26.5) firmly locks in the heel and instep to prevent rubbing on the ascent and provide instant ski control in deep powder, crust or hard snow.
Ski/Walk Mechanism and Certified Dynafit Inserts
They feature a solid cuff locking and unlocking system that frees axle rotation to facilitate wide, natural and fluid strides during the ascent. When locked in ski position, the cuff is firmly anchored to the shell, delivering a solid 120 forward flex to drive wide freeride skis at high speed. The integrated Dynafit-certified Low-Tech inserts ensure perfect and secure compatibility with technical pin bindings.
Mountain Soles and Lightweight Buckles
The boot is equipped with a high-grip rubber compound sole and lugged tread for safe walking on rocks, ridges and icy surfaces. Its flat-profile micro-adjustable aluminum buckles feature an open uphill position to prevent snagging in snow while skinning, and are complemented by a robust upper Powerstrap for a firm shin closure.
