Skis
In the automotive world, a performance crossover requires a chassis that can instantly adapt to both smooth tarmac and broken trails. The Völkl Secret 96 masters this duality through its Tailored Titanal Frame technology. Rather than a uniform metal sheet, the Titanal frame is specifically customized to the length of the ski, optimizing torsional rigidity for the skier's height and leverage. For "steering", it incorporates Tailored Carbon Tips: carbon strings integrated into the shovel that guarantee surgical, vibration-free turn initiation at any speed. Its 3D Radius Sidecut acts as an intelligent differential, allowing you to seamlessly link tight or wide turns.
To handle this machine, the chosen "transmission" is the legendary Look SPX 12. Renowned on the world circuit, this binding features a heel piece with a massive 27 mm of elastic travel. It acts as a heavy-duty shock absorber, eating up violent impacts to prevent premature releases at high speeds. With its Full Action toe piece and a DIN range from 3.5 to 12, it guarantees a direct connection and brutal power transfer straight to the edges.
