Freeride Bindings with Rocker Chassis Marker Baron EPF 13 Size L (110 mm)
The Marker Baron EPF 13 (ref. 7516U1LA, Size L 305-365 mm with 110 mm brake) is the equivalent of a high-end sporty all-terrain vehicle with a mechanical low-range gearbox: an oversized, reliable binding designed to withstand aggressive descents with the structural rigidity of an alpine binding while allowing on-foot approaches off-piste. Important technical note: this binding features a traditional pivoting chassis (Frame Binding); it is NOT a hybrid binding and does NOT use Tech pins for either climbing or descending. Ascents are made by pivoting the entire plate chassis. Equipped with the widened Extended Power Frame (EPF) platform, Triple Pivot Elite 3 toe piece, Inter Pivot 3 heel piece, and a DIN range from 4 to 13, it is the perfect solution for skiers with long-sole boots seeking uncomplicated solidity.

Bindings
In high-performance off-road motorsport, a widened track width and direct chassis mounting points ensure straight-line stability and precise guidance over rough terrain. The Marker Baron EPF 13 applies this architecture to all-mountain touring and versatile freeride skiing. Its structure is based on the Extended Power Frame (EPF) system: a widened mounting platform with 46 mm screw spacing that maximizes lateral leverage over wide freeride skis, minimizing torsional losses and transmitting pressure directly to the edges.
Unlike modern hybrid models, this system does not require pin inserts in the boot. The touring function is articulated through its full pivoting plate mechanism (Frame Binding): when the Hike & Ride Switch safety lever, safely positioned beneath the sole, is activated, the entire binding structure releases at the rear to pivot from the front axis. For uphill slopes, it features integrated titanium climbing aids that are easy to operate with a ski pole at 0°, 7°, and 13°. For downhill skiing, the Triple Pivot Elite 3 toe piece (with horizontal transverse spring and upper metal plate for scraping off ice) combines with the Inter Pivot 3 heel piece, delivering uncompromising retention and superior elastic travel to prevent accidental releases over bumps or jump landings. Its height-adjustable sliding AFD plate ensures multi-standard compatibility with traditional alpine sole boots (ISO 5355), GripWalk (ISO 23223), and standard touring boots with welts (ISO 9523).
