The Nordica Team J FDT junior set (ref. 0A134500001) with integrated Marker JR 4.5 FDT bindings (ref. 0C9024MF) is the equivalent of a school runabout with ultra-light power steering and a lightweight chassis: a ski specifically designed to help the youngest skiers learn to carve turns with ease, confidence, and minimal physical effort. With its lightweight adaptive-flex Composite core, forgiving construction, and pre-mounted FDT JR plate system, it delivers smooth flex that forgives stance errors and speeds up technical progression on groomed slopes.

Junior / Kids Skis

In entry-level ski design, calibrating the chassis resistance to the skier’s actual weight is the key factor in conveying immediate confidence. The Nordica Team J FDT applies this principle to recreational junior skiing. Its internal structure incorporates a lightweight synthetic core (Composite Core), designed to flex progressively under the pressure of lightweight skiers, preventing the ski from feeling stiff or uncontrollable on changes in slope.

The outer shell, with monoblock Cap construction, protects the edges from the impacts and scuffs common in lift queues, while reducing overall weight to prevent premature fatigue. Its profile with a gentle front rocker makes it easier to initiate wedge or early parallel turns without the risk of catching. The package is integrated with the children’s Marker JR 4.5 FDT binding (ref. 0C9024MF) mounted on the quick-adjustment FDT JR Plate: a system that respects the ski’s continuous flex, allows boot length to be adjusted in seconds without tools as the child grows, offers a DIN range from 0.75 to 4.5, and is fully compatible with both standard children’s soles and the modern GripWalk Junior standard.
