The Völkl Kanjo skis (ref. 118410, available in a 161 cm length) are sold as individual skis without bindings included (flat format for custom drilling and mounting in a workshop). They are the equivalent of a balanced, lightweight sports touring car with an agile chassis and composed suspension: stable, lively when transitioning from edge to edge, and highly intuitive on groomed hardpack, spring corn snow, or the untouched edges of the piste. Designed as the most accessible and forgiving option in the all-mountain range for those who do not want the extreme stiffness of a race ski, they feature an 84 mm waist, a laminated Multi Layer Woodcore, central Titanal Band reinforcement, full-length straight Full Sidewall edges, and a Tip & Tail Rocker profile. With a featherweight of just ~1480 g per ski, they provide solid, effortless edge hold throughout the day.

All-Mountain Skis

In the design of sports vehicles focused on maximum on-road agility without fatiguing the driver, reinforcing the central chassis while keeping the ends lightweight makes it possible to absorb road vibrations without incurring the exhausting stiffness of a track setup. The Völkl Kanjo 161 cm brings this technical solution to all-mountain skiing. Its mechanical core is formed by the Multi Layer Woodcore wood core, which combines dense beech stringers under the binding area to ensure an immovable screw hold, with selected poplar woods in the tip and tail for elastic flex and agile turn exit.

Unlike high-performance race skis with two full metal sheets, the Kanjo features Titanal Band technology: a longitudinal strip of Titanal alloy arranged along the central axis that absorbs impacts in uneven snow and ensures impeccable tracking in carved turns with its 16.3 m radius, while retaining a smooth and forgiving ride. Its Tip & Tail Rocker profile with traditional camber underfoot ensures firm support when edging on hard-packed snow and facilitates controlled skids and forays into soft off-piste snow. Supplied without bindings (flat skis), it allows the skier to install alpine bindings (Marker Squire 11, Griffon 13) or versatile systems, selecting 85 mm or 90 mm brakes.
