In racing schools, the first cars drivers use aren't aggressive; they are docile and equipped with power steering to teach proper lines without fighting the wheel. The Völkl Deacon Junior follows this exact philosophy. Its chassis relies on a Composite Core, an ultra-lightweight synthetic material calibrated to flex smoothly under a child's weight. Add to this the Tip Rocker profile (a slight elevation in the nose), which acts as the perfect power steering system, allowing the ski to enter turns intuitively and preventing frustrating edge catches.

The "transmission" for this setup is the vMotion 4.5 Junior binding. Mounted on an integrated rail system, it offers the huge advantage of being adjustable without tools as the child's foot grows season after season. With a very soft spring (DIN range from 0.75 to 4.5), it guarantees safe multi-directional release during low-speed falls, protecting the joints of the smallest skiers throughout their learning phase.
