Freeride Bindings with Pivoting Chassis Marker Duke Pro EPF 18 Size S (110 mm)
The Marker Duke Pro EPF 18 (ref. 7916S1SA, Size S 265-325 mm with 110 mm brake in Black) is the equivalent of a Dakar Rally truck with a competition V8 engine: an oversized, armored chassis designed to withstand the most brutal torsional forces of big mountain and extreme skiing without flinching. Important technical note: this binding features a traditional pivoting chassis (Frame Binding); it is NOT a hybrid binding and does NOT use Tech pins for ascending or descending. The ascent is performed by pivoting the entire chassis structure. Built on the widened Extended Power Frame (EPF) platform with solid magnesium components and an extreme DIN range of 8 to 18, it is the indestructible benchmark for heavy or aggressive riders who demand uncompromising alpine power transmission on wide skis.

Bindings
In the design of extreme competition off-road vehicles, widening the track and reinforcing chassis anchor points is the only way to channel immense power over broken terrain without losing the line. The Marker Duke Pro EPF 18 brings this massive architecture to high-mountain freeriding. Its structural concept is based on Extended Power Frame (EPF) technology: a drilling and mounting pattern with a 46 mm track width that multiplies leverage on the widest skis on the market, minimizing torsional deformation and transmitting every watt of power directly to the edges.
Unlike modern hybrid bindings (such as the Duke PT range), this model does not use pin / Low-Tech inserts. Access to off-piste terrain is achieved through its robust full pivoting plate system (Frame Binding): by operating the ergonomic lever protected beneath the foot (Hike & Ride Switch), the entire binding body is released at the rear to pivot from the toe, allowing walking with titanium climbing aids at 0°, 7° and 13°, operable with a pole. When the system is locked for descent, the Triple Pivot Elite toe piece (with an inverted horizontal spring and magnesium upper reinforcement) and the Inter Pivot heel piece with cast magnesium bridge create a rigid safety cell with exceptional elastic absorption against harsh landings and falls from jumps. Its height-adjustable stainless-steel AFD plate ensures compatibility with traditional alpine sole boots (ISO 5355), GripWalk (ISO 23223), and standard touring boots with welts (ISO 9523), regardless of whether the boot has pin holes or not.
